The TX610 is the 600 dpi model in the TX210 series, a TSC 4-inch desktop printer that prints 24 dots per mm. It accepts labels from 3 mm long, prints up to 106 mm wide, and does both direct thermal and thermal transfer.
TSC lists high-resolution product marking and graphics and electronic component labels as uses for this series at 600 dpi. In exchange, its max speed of 102 mm per second is half that of the 203 dpi TX210 (203 mm) in the same series, and its max single-label length is 2,540 mm.

Slew speed also has a different range for each resolution: 1-8 for 203 dpi, 1-6 for 300 dpi, and 1-4 for the TX610. Criteria for choosing a resolution are in 203 dpi vs. 300 dpi.
Desktop TX610 and industrial MH641
TSC's 600 dpi 4-inch printers also include the industrial MH641. Both models are 600 dpi, and they differ in how much supply they load at once and in speed.

The TX610 differs from the MH641 in that its double-wall plastic clamshell body sits on a desk and it accepts very short labels down to 3 mm long.
Media, ribbon, and head care
Media is 19-112 mm wide and 0.055-0.254 mm thick, and gap labels, black mark, notched, punched-hole, and continuous media are supported. The ribbon is 300 m on a 1 in core (ink coated side out), 40-110 mm wide.
The head has a mechanism for adjusting the heater line position to match different media, and TPH Care finds bad dots in real time during printing. If the left or right side of a label prints missing on the TX610, first check the label size setting and head contamination.
Power adapter and connectivity
The TX610 uses a DC 24 V 5.41 A, 130 W output adapter. The TX210 and TX310 adapter is 24 V 3.75 A, 90 W, a different spec, so do not mix them.
USB 2.0, RS-232, USB host, and 10/100 Mbps Ethernet are standard. The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 combo module is a dealer option, and MFi Bluetooth 5.0 and Centronics parallel are factory options.
