The Vuquest 3320g is a compact 2D scanner measuring 73 x 51 x 26 mm and weighing 77 g. It is used handheld or wearable with a thumb-pressed button, and when fitted with the universal mount and fixed to a kiosk or light industrial equipment, it reads codes in presentation mode.
External I/O and port for fixed mounting
The external I/O function controls the operation of external devices such as a beeper, photo eye, and lighting. The unit's port is a 15-pin D-Sub, and there are 3 connection methods: USB, RS-232, and keyboard wedge. The interface is detected automatically, so there is no need to scan an interface setting barcode when switching between USB and RS-232.
Input voltage is 5 V DC ±0.25 V, and power consumption is 2.3 W (450 mA) while operating and 0.45 W (90 mA) on standby. Size the 5 V power capacity on the equipment side to these figures.

The focus of the 838 x 640 pixel imager is set at 127 mm (about 13 cm) from the window. Even the 10 mil Code 39, which reads closest among the codes in the table, starts at 26 mm, and 5 mil Code 39 reads from 55 mm. Install it so that the distance between the window and the code is at least the table figure for the code to be read.
At the focal distance it also reads codes moving faster than 270 cm per second. The scan angle is 42.4° horizontal and 33° vertical, and its aiming uses no laser, so there is no risk of eye injury and it can be placed on customer-facing terminals.
Phone screens and installation conditions
Codes on highly reflective surfaces such as phone or monitor screens are read with Adaptus 6.0 imaging technology, so no separate equipment for screen codes is needed. The illumination is designed to reduce the afterimage common in imager scanners.
When decoding and formatting plug-ins are loaded directly onto the scanner with the TotalFreedom 2.0 development platform, proprietary or new codes are handled without modifying the host program. Scanning features can also be added later by purchasing a license for that feature.
The operating temperature is -20 to 50°C, the storage temperature is -20 to 70°C, and humidity is 5-95% non-condensing. The unit is designed for IP53 and 1.5 m drops and reads under 0-100,000 lux lighting. If you need a form that stands on a counter in a stand, the 145 mm tall Genesis XP 7680g is the right fit.
