The 3-inch rugged model following the ZQ510
Compared with the previous ZQ510, the standard battery has grown from 2,450 mAh to 3,250 mAh, and it has passed a tumble test of 1,300 tumbles from a height of 1 m (IEC68-2-32). Zebra designated it as the replacement model for the ZQ510, and it uses media 35-80 mm wide.
For longer use, the 6,500 mAh extended battery is fitted as an option. Wireless comes in two models: Bluetooth only, and an 802.11ac and Bluetooth combo.
Cleaning intervals for the linerless model
The ZQ511 linerless model uses ZeroLiner labels without a liner and has a scraper instead of a tear bar, so the parts to clean and the intervals differ from the standard model.

Washing the linerless platen is an emergency measure that shortens its life. If media keeps sticking after cleaning and running 1-2 m of media through, replace the platen with a new one.
Media conditions for the RFID model ZQ511R
The ZQ511R prints labels while writing data to UHF RFID tags. The RFID function is an option installed only at the factory, so it cannot be added to a standard ZQ511 later. The ZQ511R does not perform gap sensing, so use only RFID media with printed black marks.
2-minute sleep and wake-up
The ZQ511 enters sleep after 2 minutes with no jobs, turning off the display and backlight. It wakes on its own when a job arrives over Bluetooth or wireless LAN, and also wakes when the power or SELECT button is pressed for less than 3 seconds. The sleep time, 2 minutes by default, is changed by entering a value in seconds in the SGD command power.sleep.timeout; entering 600 makes it 10 minutes.
