The ZD411 is Zebra's current 2-inch desktop printer for 15-60 mm media, with separate direct thermal and thermal transfer (ribbon) models. For places that print only labels 60 mm or narrower, its body is 62.5 mm narrower than the 4-inch ZD421, comparing direct thermal models.
Print width is 56 mm at 203 dpi and 54 mm at 300 dpi, a 2 mm difference by resolution. Max speed is 152 mm per second at 203 dpi and 102 mm per second at 300 dpi.

The thermal transfer model's max ribbon width is 58 mm, so it cannot cover 60 mm media edge to edge. The head wears less when covered by a ribbon wider than the label, so order labels for thermal transfer in a size that fits within the ribbon width.
Initial setup with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
Every ZD411 includes BLE 5, but it is for the Zebra printer setup app (Android and iOS) only, and labels are not sent over this connection. Touching a phone to the built-in Print Touch (NFC) tag pairs them, and initial setup is completed in the setup app. A real-time clock (RTC) is also standard on all models.
Factory- and field-installed connectivity options
The standard ports are USB 2.0 and USB host. 10/100 Ethernet and two wireless combinations (Wi-Fi 5 + Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 6 + Bluetooth 5.3) come installed from the factory or are fitted later in the field. The Wi-Fi 6 module differs in antenna configuration: MIMO when factory-installed and SISO when field-installed. RS-232 serial is available only as a field-installed option.
Mounting bracket and field-installed options
If an older GK420 or LP/TLP2824 was fixed to a shelf or counter, the ZD411 is fixed in the same position with the separately sold mounting adapter bracket. The peeler and cutter are field-installed options, and with the 2750 mAh battery attached, it prints at max speed for one shift without mains power.
The healthcare model for hospitals uses a white disinfectant-ready housing, sealed buttons, and an IEC 60601-1 certified power supply.
