The DT200+ is a Godex 2-inch desktop printer that prints direct thermal only, without a ribbon. It prints at up to 178 mm/s (7 ips) at 203 dpi, accepts media 15-60 mm wide and 0.06-0.2 mm thick, and prints up to 54 mm across.

The unit is 207 mm long, 112 mm wide, and 171 mm high, and weighs 1.05 kg without consumables. Rolls up to 127 mm OD fit.

The i models are for printing labels standalone without a PC by plugging a scanner or keyboard into the USB host. The real-time clock is also standard on the i models and optional on the DT200+. The DT200L+, which supports linerless media, is a separate model.

If there is a lot of small text or small 2D codes, look at the 300 dpi models. Criteria for choosing a resolution are in 203 dpi vs. 300 dpi.

4 standard ports and wireless options

USB 2.0 (Type B), RS-232 serial, 10/100 Mbps Ethernet, and USB host (Type A) all come standard on the back. Whether you attach it to one PC by USB or connect it to the office network by Ethernet, no separate board is needed.

For wireless, choose from a wireless LAN (802.11 b/g/n) module, a Bluetooth module, or a combined Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (BLE 5.0) module; like the cutter and label dispenser, these are installed by the dealer.

Pausing and canceling with the FEED button

Press FEED once during printing to pause, and press it again to continue printing the remaining labels. If a 10-label job paused after 2 labels came out, the remaining 8 come out after resuming.

Holding FEED for more than 3 seconds cancels the job itself, and the remaining 8 labels do not come out. To turn the power off, also press the POWER button for 3 seconds.

Built-in fonts and printer languages

The printer contains 5 TrueType fonts for Korean, Japanese, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, and Western languages. It automatically recognizes and switches among 4 command languages: EZPL, GEPL, GZPL, and GDPL.

The DT200+ driver is in the DT200+ downloads, and price tag or specimen label layouts are created in Goodlabel Designer (free label design software) and sent to the printer.

FAQ

How do I recalibrate label length after changing media?

Hold the FEED button while turning the power on. Release the button when two beeps sound, READY blinks red, and STATUS lights red. It then measures the label size and prints one self-test label.

Both indicators are blinking red and printing stopped.

If READY and STATUS blink together with no beep, the head temperature has risen too high. When the head cools, the printer returns to standby on its own and accepts the next print.

How often should I clean the head?

Once a week. Turn off the power, open the cover, and wipe label residue off the head with a soft lint-free cloth or cotton swab moistened with alcohol.
