The 4B-2054NS is a direct thermal-only label printer made by XPRINTER and supplied under the Goodlabel brand. It prints at 203 dpi without a ribbon, at 152 mm/s (6 ips), with a print width of 104 mm.
It uses three media types: direct thermal paper, synthetic (Yupo) direct thermal, and shipping label media. Art paper labels that need a ribbon are not printed on the 4B-2054NS.
116 mm media width and 104 mm print width
The media width it accepts is 26-116 mm including the liner (backing paper). The width actually printed is 104 mm, so even with 110 mm wide labels loaded, printing is only within 104 mm across.
So set up layouts assuming printing reaches up to 10 cm across.
External holder and media recovery function
There is no space inside the unit for a roll. Labels are placed behind the printer and fed in from the back to print; roll labels hang on an external holder.
Instead of rolls, 100 x 150 mm fanfold direct thermal labels (international shipping size), folded and stacked, are also available; contact Wooju OA (info@woojuoa.co.kr, +82-2-703-0332).
When the label gap is off and the first label would be wasted, the media recovery function recovers that first label as blank media.
Operation with 1 top button
There is only one button, on the top. Press it during printing to pause, and press it again to continue.
When you change labels, keep the button pressed while turning the power on. The printer measures and sets the gap of one label on its own.
Driver model selection
There is no separate NS model in the list when installing the driver. Choose '4B-2054N' under the 4BARCODE manufacturer; the installation file is in the 4B-2054NS downloads.
