ZT230 with Asia-Pacific support ended
The ZT230 was discontinued on June 27, 2022, and Zebra service and support in the Asia-Pacific region already ended on January 31, 2026. Other regions, such as North America and Europe, are covered until January 31, 2027. The successor model designated by Zebra is the ZT231.
Units used in Korea are now outside the manufacturer support period, so we recommend the ZT231 to anyone buying new. The driver and manuals remain available at ZT230 download.
Steps to change settings from the display menu
The ZT230 is the only model in the ZT200 series with a display. Below the display are two select buttons, four arrow buttons, and an OK button, with PAUSE, FEED, and CANCEL separately below them.
- Press LEFT SELECT on the idle screen to enter the home menu.
- Use the arrow buttons to select an icon such as SETTINGS and press OK.
- Move between items with the LEFT and RIGHT arrows, and change a setting with the UP and DOWN arrows.
- Changes are saved immediately, and if nothing is pressed for 15 seconds, the display returns to the previous screen.
450 m ribbon and 3:1 roll ratio
The ZT230 holds a 450 m ribbon, so one ribbon roll lasts through three media rolls. The ZT220 in the same series uses 300 m at a 2:1 ratio.
Ribbon width is 51-110 mm on a 25 mm core. Media rolls up to 203 mm OD on a 76 mm core and 152 mm OD on a 25 mm core are accepted, and the print width is 108 mm at 203 dpi and 105.7 mm at 300 dpi.

The ZT231 also holds a 450 m ribbon and a 203 mm OD label roll. You can carry over your existing supplies while the speed at 203 dpi doubles.
