The ZD620t is the ZD620 thermal transfer model that takes both 300 m and 74 m ribbon rolls, and it is marked discontinued in Zebra's support list. Drivers and user guides remain available, and the current thermal transfer model with the same speed, media width, and body size is the ZD621t.
Fewer ribbon changes with 300 m ribbons
Loading the long ribbon cuts ribbon changes by 75% compared with 74 m ribbons, and the price per meter is also lower than standard ribbons.

On the take-up side, fit an empty core with the same inner diameter as the ribbon being loaded to avoid wrinkles. The shipping box included 1-inch and 0.5-inch empty take-up cores, and load a ribbon wider than the label within the 33.8-109.2 mm ribbon width range.
300 dpi model and print quality
Unlike the ZD420 of the same period, the ZD620 has a media dancer that keeps media roll tension even.
Labels with small 2D codes or logos suit the 300 dpi model, whose top speed is 152 mm/s (6 ips) with a print width of 108 mm.
What stays the same and what changes when moving to the ZD621t
Both models use a 267 x 202 x 192 mm body, 15-118 mm media width, 203 mm/s at 203 dpi, and 300 m and 74 m ribbons, so the same location and the same ribbons and labels carry over. Among the body specifications, only the weight changes, increasing by 100 g from 2.4 kg to 2.5 kg.
Wireless differs. The old model had one factory-installed option, Wi-Fi (802.11ac) + Bluetooth 4.1, while the current model offers a choice of a Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) + Bluetooth 5.3 module or a Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) + Bluetooth module, both of which can also be installed in the field.
