The DS10 is an 8-inch Android industrial tablet whose scan window direction is chosen from straight or angled on the same body, released by Daeshin Information & Communications under the MobileBase brand.
Straight and angled scan windows
The straight DS10 is for work where you aim forward and scan right away, as at typical logistics sites. The angled DS10 reduces wrist strain when scanning while moving up and down and watching the screen. The battery, charging cradle, and gun trigger are the same parts for both.
DS10 specifications that differ by document
The DS10 operating system differs by document, Android 14, 12, or 9.0, so checking the Android version of the unit you receive tells you which column of the table below applies.

The 8-inch screen, 8,500 mAh, IP67, and LTE are the same in all three documents, and per the 2024 datasheet it measures 225.6 x 144.6 x 21.5 mm and weighs 715 g. When buying additional DS10 units or replacing them, match the Android version and scan engine of the units you will receive at the order stage first.
F key scanning and landscape switching
DS10 barcodes are read by pressing the physical F key or with the on-screen scan button (Scan suspension button) turned on in the HardDecodeScan app Settings. When HardDecodeScan runs, the DS10 screen switches to landscape mode regardless of the screen rotation setting because of the scanner position. The DS10 scan module uses only Motorola Two dimensional, so if you chose another module at first launch, choose it again in Module selection.
USB-A and HDMI ports and vehicle mounting
Ports are 1 each of USB Type-C and USB 2.0 Type-A, 1 HDMI, a 3.5 mm headset jack, a DC charging jack, 12-pin pogo, 1 SIM slot, and a TF card slot (up to 128 GB). The DS10 vehicle mount attaches to standard VESA holes, and the additional accessories in the 2024 datasheet include a desktop cradle, vehicle holder and charger, hand strap, shoulder strap, screen protector, and pen.
